STUDENTS SUPPORT

The nature club of the College intends to spread the message of environmental preservation and protection. The club attempts to enlighten the student community by arranging programs which emphasizes the harmony between man and nature. 

Activity club coordinates all fine arts, literary and cultural programs of the college. It fosters creativity, self-expression, and collaboration through fine arts and cultural activities of students and staff. Its mission is to provide a platform for personal growth, skill development and socialization. 

The quiz club of the college aims at identifying students with quiz talents and creating opportunities for them to sharpen their quiz skill. The club provides supporting hands to interested students to enlighten to the world of knowledge. 

The main aim of ED Club is to promote entrepreneurial talents among student community and encourage self - employment in rural cultivation, cottage and small scale industries, Khadi and village industry etc

  A special cell, called the OBC Cell, is functioning in our College for the 

welfare of Other Backward 

Communities (OBC). .

The Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) cell, called the SC/ST  cell of the College was formed with the purpose of empowering the SC 

and ST students studying in the College. 

 The minority cell of the College facilitates financial support to students of minority communities by the Management and other sources. It empowers and equips them with necessary skills to choose a career path 

In the onset of every academic year, the committee of the cell gives orientation classes to students of the College to make them aware the anti-ragging laws and the consequences of ragging. Posters and notices are displayed all 

over the College campus with the helpline telephone numbers. 

  The Women Development Cell (WDC) is a platform for helping the girl students to prevent gender inequality, bias, and violence 

Every department of the College conducts periodic test papers and two internal examinations in each semester. Progress report of each student will be intimated to the parent groups. Class PTA meetings are also conducted by the concerned class teacher to establish a rapport between the parents, teachers and students. 

   The college conducts University 

examinations of both regular and 

private students under the supervision of Examination Committee till the answer bundles are handed over to the University.

The career guidance and placement cell 

of the College organizes various activities 

to assist students to channelize them to 

higher studies or employment depending 

upon their interests. 

 The anti-drug cell of the College has been constituted to ensure a drug-free campus by imposing a total ban on the possession or consumption of drugs and alcohol by students of the College, within and outside the campus. The programs are conducted by organizing awareness classes with the help of Government authorized agencies or organizations.  

 Students may have a multitude of grievances of both academic and non-academic. In order to address and redress these grievances, the College has constituted a grievance redressal cell. 

 Additional Skill Acquisition Programme is a venture of Kerala Government aiming to acquire various skills and training for the employability of UG students. Different programs like seminars and workshops are conducted either online or offline 

 Our college is very much privileged to have a literary and cultural forum for inculcating and strengthening literary, cultural and moral values of the students. .

The major objective of the tutorial system is to provide mentoring to the students. All the class teachers are the mentors. The students are divided into groups and are placed under group tutors. The system is further reinforced by conducting class-PTA.

This system locates the slow learners to provide special coaching.  It identifies those students who lag behind others in learning. It could help struggling students to unveil their basic skills. This extra support helps them to catch up with their peers. The advanced learners are given nurturing to further uplift of their talents.

Student union election is held every year to select the Chairperson, Vice chairperson, General Secretary, UUC, Arts Club Secretary, Magazine Editor, Lady Representative etc.

The Students Union is elected on the basis of the Parliamentary Mode of Election as prescribed in University Regulations. Union members help to instill leadership qualities, democratic principles, rights and duties of citizenship and organizational skills among the students. Lady representation is mandatory in certain posts. There shall be a Staff Advisor to the College Union elected from the College Council.

 Placement drives are conducted periodically 

by inviting eminent companies from inside 

and outside the state 

The Cell is constituted under the Chairmanship of the Principal and Vice Principal as the convener. The main aim of the Cell is to protect the lady students against any kind of sexual harassment. No incident of sexual harassment has so far been reported in the college. 

It is the supreme body of the institution. All decisions on internal matters such as disciplinary action, conduct of enquiry, suspension and dismissal & withdrawal etc. are taken by the Council. In this college the council is constituted and headed by Principal and all HODs of three batches of Commerce, Management Studies, Language departments and two nominated members.  Shamnas S is the secretary & Elizabeth Ligia Fernandez is the assistant secretary of Staff Council.

The council is a significant body connected with the functioning of the College Library. All decisions related to the Library are discussed and finalized by the Council.

Principal and all HODs, two nominated members from teaching staff and one student representative are the members of the LAC. 

The main objective is to develop safety and security in the campus for students and staff and also to prevent sexual harassment and gender discrimination of any kind. 

There are members from staff and students.  

One unit of NSS-No. 257 is functioning in the college. Conduct of seven days camps, adoption of villages/schools and other regular activities like awareness camp etc are the major activities.

Conduct of programs by the resource persons allotted by the agencies either online or offline. 

MG University has introduced a certificate course in organic farming under MOOC. Registration of students of 2020, 2021 and 2022 batches of B Com Tax, CA, TT, and BBA are over.  They have attended the examination and submitted their Projects and conducted viva voce. Their marks were uploaded to the university. The final examination is pending.

Add on Program on Digital Marketing was conducted for the final year students of all batches by ASBM (Albedo School of Learning Development) and successfully completed 30 hours learning hours and conducted examination in February 2025 and released the certificates.

For the purpose of publication of annual magazine, News Bulletin, College Handbook, etc. a committee is formulated. Dhanya Mol SP and Seema VS& Athira Sajan are in-charge of the committee.

Every year study tours are conducted for all final year students on national basis. Apart from those industrial visits (IVs) and internship programs are held as part of completion of Projects. 

By conducting Sports activities we achieve physical and mental relaxation to students & staff.  The committee is very active to conduct Indoor & out door competitions and to select the Teams to participate inter collegiate, district and state level tournaments and also to conduct the annual sports day of the college. 

is activated with five members and proposes to enforce strict discipline in the campus. Coordinator – Rahnas KN. Other members are, Shamans S. Thasna, Ligia Fernandes & Anshifa 

PTA is a statutory body enforced under the University statute; to be constituted in every college with the following intention

• To maintain cordial relation between Teachers, Parents and students. 
• To conduct Class-PTA after the completion internals & externals

AMC is a  part of IQAC of the college formed to monitor conduct of classes and finishing of portions in time. 

Keeping the health & hygiene of all staff & students is the prime motto of the Club. Yoga training classes are periodically given .The committee proposes to start fitness centre & Gymnasium. Immediate appointment of a Physical Director either part-time or full time is the need of the hour.  

Formed for the purpose of conducting Seminars & Workshops in the Depts. The association intends to prepare Strategic plan and Perspective plan of the dept.

Two college buses are operated- one from Fort Kochi to College and another from Aroor to college to and fro. 

The committee is formulated to motivate the faculty members to register and pursue for research. Four faculty members from the dept. of Commerce and one from the Management Studies are engaged in research activities.

It has a vital role in promoting the public image of the college through media channels and social media platforms.
